Project Description
iBhubesi Private Game Lodge is as self catering lodge situated in the Welgevonden Game Reserve. The lodge is approximately 260 km’s north of Johannesburg in the Limpopo province. This malaria- free zone of the Waterberg Region is known for exceptional wildlife viewings and holds a variety of antelope and other mammals. Centrally located within the reserve, iBhubesi Lodge has traversing rights over 38,200 hectares of pristine African bushveld which is home to the Big Five: rhino, buffalo, elephant, lion and the ever elusive leopard.
Accommodation
iBhubesi is a self catering lodge which allows guest to take up their own catering and drinks whilst having all meals prepared by our resident chef Hilda Mbele. Although the lodge is self catering all the necessary linen, towel and soaps etc are provided and Conley Baloyi assists Hilda in the kitchen and takes care of the housekeeping to ensure that you have a comfortable stay. The main lodge at iBhubesi consists of a small swimming pool and viewing deck. Inside the lodge there is a kitchen, lounge and dining area. There are 5 individual 2 sleeper chalets which sleep a maximum of 10 adults and 4 children.Rooms come complete with an en- suite bathroom, private deck and outside shower. The lodge is self catering with the added benefit of the resident staff taking care of all the cooking and cleaning, leaving you more time to relax. The main lodge area opens onto a broad wooden sundeck equipped with loungers and umbrellas overlooking the iBhubesi plains. A rock rimmed plunge pool flanks the deck – perfect for taking the heat out of the hot summer days.
Game Drives
As part of your iBhubesi Lodge experience, you will have the opportunity to explore the area in a game drive vehicle. The lodge’s experienced ranger will provide you with all the details you need to know about Welgevonden Game Reserve with stops at safe places along the way to enjoy a snack and a drink.
Dining
As the lodge is self catering you get to choose what you want to eat. All food is deliciously prepared by the cooking staff according to your specific requirements. Dinner can also be enjoyed under the stars around a log fire in the boma.
